Introducing Andrei - your Friend at the other End!

About Me

Born into the family of Soviet officers in Ventspils, Latvia, I have settled in Minsk, Belarus, in the country where my grandparents lived.

I graduated from Minsk State Linguistic University in 2008 as a Translator majoring in International Tourism. By that time I had had a two-year's experience in the field.

I decided to land in inbound tourism because the occupation involves communication with native speakers which I enjoy. It also gives - though very seldom - an opportunity to travel around my home country, which is quite fascinating at times.

Belarus is located in the geographical center of Europe and can be described as a green, calm and affordable destination.

Among the sights Belarus offers one should mention UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Mir and Nesvizh, several museums dedicated to the WWII and Belarusian countryside and multiple old buildings that witnessed the country's uneasy history.

Belarus' main treasure is its unspoilt nature and hospitable people, especially those in the countryside - who would do their utmost to make you feel at home.
