About Me

Hi,

I am a permanent visitor to Cornwall. By that I mean, that although I live here and have done for several years, I cannot claim to be local. As is often the case when you re-locate, I have spent much of my free time exploring the county, walking the coastal paths, swimming, sailing and surfing in the sea, trying out the local cuisine, and generally trying to live the dream.
I am currently training to become a teacher of Travel and Tourism, having spent much of my career within the industry. Prior to this I was a tour leader, working my way round the world, and have designed bespoke trips for people globally.
I love walking and running, especially along the coastal paths, and I am also a sailor, and indeed the water is why I moved here.

Cornwall is a fantastic county to visit, and indeed it used to be a country, or so the locals would have you believe!

Its coastal path covers all 258 miles of coastline, and the waters are some of the best in the world to explore. There are more beaches than anyone could hope for catering to all interests and ages.

The range of accommodation is vast, from a bijou hotel, to quaint old self catering cottage, not fogetting the resources for camping and caravanning.

Cornwall is becoming known as a foodie county, with a strong emphasis on local produce, and lets not forget the infamous Cornish pasty, and the gorgeous seafood.

Artists have been heading down to Cornwall for many years, especially to St Ives, where the natural light is quite special, and there are many galleries and studios to include in your visit. There really is something for everyone, whether your stay is a week or a weekend.
