About Me

Hi there,

My name is Hagen, and I'm a 37 year old software designer from Berlin-Kreuzberg.

I did a lot of travel myself (36 countries on four continents so far), and I used to work both in the UK and in California.

I really love to help visitors explore my city! Berlin offers so much to discover, and everything is always moving. I would be glad to assist you in finding the most important places of interest, the coolest bars and the best restaurants for your trip.

I'm very interested in Berlin's history (Prussia, 3rd Reich, Cold War & Wall Area, Peaceful Revolution & Reunification as well as today's Berlin), architecture and city infrastructure, so that I can point you in the direction of all the interesting historical places and the most extraordinary buildings, including the ones undiscovered by tourists.

As an extra service, I could compose a walk through the most interesting parts of the city for you, based on your special interests and your preferred walking distance. Just ask me when you sign-up with me to plan your trip!

I have two little children aged two and four, so you should especially contact me if you are travelling with kids. Berlin is a great city to visit with children, and there is plenty of choice from special children-friendly cafés and lots of playgrounds everywhere, to two world class zoos.

Finally, I'm an expert for public transport in Germany and Europe, so you could also contact me if you are planning a trip beyond Berlin.
