About Me

Im a 35- year old entrepeneur and freelancer born in germany but luckily living since 2 years in Granada, Spain. im fluent in English, German and fairly well in Spanish. My free time i spend with exploring the mountains around granada - by foot, mountainbike or Snowboard in winter. In these 2 years i have covered almost every hill that exists around here :)

As an active couchsurfing member in granada i naturally enjoy get to know people and help people with their trip. And since im in love with the place where i live, especially the mountains, i would love to share my knowledge amongst people who come to the Sierra Nevada for outdoor activitiy and adventure.

And If your in for some nitelife action i can share some valueable tips as well. There are quite some options for every taste.

So why not combine the two? Spend some days in the beautiful surrounding area of Granada and let it roll on the weekend? The best of two worlds so to say :)

Some words about the mountains:

The Sierra Nevada and its surroundings is a distinct area, unique in Europe, with a plentitude of different
microclimatic zones which range from green and water abundance parts in the northwest to desert like character in the southeast. With mountains up to 3500m you can ski up to may while day temperature down below may be already 30 degrees. If you are looking for adventure sports - the sierra nevada is the place. And anyway - if you want to experience the rural original Andalucia you have to get off the beaten track.

For me its simply magic as the seasons change the colors and the mountains faces. i love getting lost in the mountains (which is very ez here) god i love this place.

Some words about the nitelife:

Obviously Granada is all about Flamenco, Gypsies, Caves and Tapas. Sure Granada has more Bars, Pubs, Restaurants, Cafes in relation to inhabitants and size then any other place in Europe. On the other hand you will find areas close to the center you will think yourself a hundred years back with tranquil cobble stoned alleys, locals enjoying the nite in front of their casas. If you are in for Dance/Disco/Party there are many options from places that will not really start before 3 AM, Pubs offering live music of various types, Bars with fine music, cocktails and chic people. Many options here as well :)
