About Me

I am a qualified teacher ( 14 years ) and have lived and worked in the lake-District area all my life. I hold the Sports Leaders Award (BELA) and the Duke of Edinburgh Silver and Gold awards.

I have also had over 5 years experience in the mountain rescue service. I enjoy the outdoors and love meeting people from all over the world and sharing in their experiences.

Being a Tripbod will fit in with my hostel accommodation and guided walks businesses and also give me the opportunity to diversify from my teaching career.

The Lake-District is one of the most fantastic areas in the UK and possibly the world, we have lakes, mountains, valleys, beaches with sand dunes and lots more besides. The Lake-District has a very exciting and broad history being the home to famous authors such as Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth, artists and engineers all live or have lived here as well as famous climbers such as Sir Chris Bonnington.

There is a lot to see and do in the local area and it is worth spending as much time as you can discovering all that the Lake-District has to offer from quiet valleys to trips down England's longest lake.
