Introducing Emma - your Friend at the other End!

About Me

My day job involves me getting to know places intimately - I write travel journalism for a living - but I often think there must be alternative way to make use of all this information. How can you tailor it to an individual's needs? I think Tripbod might be the answer.

You don't get much immediate feedback from the printed, published word, so I thought being part of Tripbod would be an interesting process. I'm passionate about London (where I live) and Suffolk (where I grew up and still visit regularly), and I want people to see the very best of these places. It's so easy to miss things.

I'm the Editor of Time Out's 'London for Children' guide book, and have two children of my own, so I can easily help families design a hassle-free itinerary for days out (or more) in London. I can suggest the best child-friendly museums and galleries, nearby cafés, great playgrounds, little surprises along the way, and the best way to get from A to B with minimum fuss. Although it's lovely to discover things by accident, I think you get the most out of a city like London with a bit of forward planning.

I've also written a guide book to Suffolk for Time Out, so I'm very keen to share all the best secrets of that lovely unspoiled county with you.
