About Me

My name is Dawoud Sulayman Mekonnon. I am one of the senior Simien Mountains National park guides.

I am originally from the Simien Mountains National Park , but I am based both in Debark and Gondar.

I have been working as a National park guide for the last nine years in the SMNP. I have proven customer service skills and strong work ethic.

From 2003-2006 I worked as a sole guide for Exodus Tour Operator based in the UK The work involved in guiding and organizing large holiday groups who trekked and camped through the SMNP (Simien Mountains National Park) . I was also responsible for many tourists, mules and mule handlers who accompanied the trip.

From 2006-7 I studied in the UK at Chichester College for various certificates and on variety of qualifications such as BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Tour Operation, NVQ customer service, Resort representative, world wide and UK travel and tourism destinations and computing qualifications.

The dimension of the Ethiopian tourist destinations are figured today among the privileged destinations of the tourists of the whole world and it is bringing every ones attention to this country because of its beauty as it was known since long.

As tourism professional in this region, I've committed myself to guaranteeing a high level of service, at the right situation, to ensure tourists continue to come to the beautiful Simien Mountains and other different place in Ethiopia, and continue to offer the highest level of services to make our tourism industry reliable and sustainable.
With my service, you will be able to come back again and again to visit Ethiopia.
Besides, all my itineraries and tours are quite flexible and we can make changes if necessary. They all will be given on request. My aim is, you spend a very good and unforgettable time with me.
