About Me

I grew up in another part of Australia and came to Victoria more than three decades ago. Being an 'outsider' my eyes were wide open to all of the sights, attractions and activities that the locals took for granted. I've been a 'tourist' in my home state for all of the time since I moved here!! I have also traveled to dozens of countries around the world, and as much as I have loved that, it has also served to give me the perspective to appreciate how wonderful life is right here on my own doorstep.

I'm an organization consultant and executive coach - people are my life. I work with a wide variety of people and organizations to help them be the best that they can be. I believe strongly in the power of self-improvement and opening oneself up to new experiences. That's how I view travel - it's entertaining, educational, uplifting, relaxing, and amazing, but as much as anything it teaches us about ourselves. My work gives me an opportunity to travel to and appreciate the many extraordinary aspects of the state I live in. The people I talk to share their experiences with me, and that helps me to understand and value the fabric of society and the nuances of the Australian way of life.

Having two children to introduce to the world, my wife and I have traveled extensively with them and taken them to many places and activities that have helped open their eyes to what the world has to offer. I personally have a very wide range of interests - from adventure activities like helicopter flying and bike riding, to cultural activities such as music concerts and art galleries, to good food, to architecture and wildlife...the list goes on. I'm passionate about life.
