About Me

II am a writer, broadcaster, travel blogger, actor and humorist who has an extensive background working in the travel industry and promoting various aspects of travel, particularly destinations and the attractions that you will find at those destinations. I have lived in Perth, Western Australia for 30 years. During that time I have travelled extensively in Western Australia, and because of my blogging and broadcasting, I keep up-to-date on tourist-related activities within Western Australia. I feel just as comfortable in a tent as I do in a 5-star hotel (a necessity if you want to see WA properly). Most people hold many misconceptions about Perth and Western Australia, particularly with relation to distances. This is a vast State, and is much bigger than most countries. For intended travellers I can certainly advise on the best ways to travel around WA, the best places to visit the various regions and the best times of the year to visit them. As well as vast distances, we also have extremes of weather at certain times of the year, and I have the local knowledge that is necessary to get the best out of any trip to WA. I can give good advice about how to save money on travel once here; what to bring in terms of clothing; advice regarding telecommunications when here; the best time to use our beaches, and the best beaches to visit. I can also advise on local customs, eating, tipping, etc. My local knowledge of Perth and Western Australia is better than that in any travel guide because it is current and also correct.
