About Me

My name is Dave and I live in Melbourne Australia. I originally hail from Tasmania but you shouldn't hold that against me - Melbourne was discovered by a Tasmanian.

I have worked for many years in the hotel and tourism industry and am extremely passionate about my city.

After extensive overseas travel in my early 20s, I returned to Melbourne where I commenced operations of a guided walking tour of of the city. On top of the historical aspects of Melbourne, I love sharing modern cultural facets including street art, music and sport.

Many of the gems of Melbourne are hidden down dark alleys, behind small facades and up rickety staircases. Some of the best food, drink and social aspects of the city are missed by visitors who don't know where to look or tread. I am big on local experience and I strive to keep my finger on the pulse - I love sharing these tips with visitors to our city.

Some of my most memorable overseas trips have involved staying with locals or finding out tips from people who live in that area. Whether it's a place to get good coffee or a current exhibition featuring local artists, travelers appreciate the experience of living like a native.

In my spare time I am an avid photographer with a particular inkling towards street photography. My role as a guide provides the perfect compliment to my roving eye on the city streets.
